Philosophy

We've designed Squace to bring you free personalized mobile services. To do this, we request some information from you (most of which is optional) and automatically collect other information about your usage of our services. While this allows us to offer you the best service possible, we understand the critical importance of personal privacy and want you to understand how we handle your personal information.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any personally identifiable information ("PII") you may disclose in user forums (such as chat rooms, message boards or similar web pages). PII is information that could reasonably be used to identify you personally (such as your name, address or e-mail address). You should be aware that when you voluntarily disclose PII on message boards, chat areas or other user forums, that information can be collected and used by other people to send unsolicited messages and marketing materials. Also, please be aware that certain message boards (and similar user forums) may display IP addresses along with the message poster's name and message.

Your privacy is important to us.

Information We Collect About You and How It is Used

We only collect personal information that we believe will improve our ability to offer this service to you. We consider all of the following categories to be your personal information:

  • User History: We collect information on what you have used, including both mobile usage, mobile personalizing and web usage. You may already be aware that when you browse web pages, your computer sends information that usually gets logged by the host site. This typically includes, your phone number, your computer's IP address, operating system, browser name/version, referring web page, page requested, date/time, and sometimes a "cookie" to help the site remember you between visits. You can, of course, disable cookies on your computer by indicating this in the preferences or options menus in your browser. However, it is possible that some parts of Squace's web site will not operate correctly if you disable cookies. You should consult with your browser's provider/manufacturer if you have any questions regarding disabling cookies.
  • Community & Support: We'd love for you to help us make Squace a better service. If interested, you have the option to submit bug reports, feature requests, and other feedback to our engineers; you can also post questions and answer other user questions in our community forums.
  • Phone number: The phone number is required to initiate the service along with the manufacture name and model of the mobile handset. The phone number, including the land code, is used as your log in name.
  • Email Address: As a complement to the phone number you can also ad one or more email addresses to the service and use them for log in.

In addition, we keep the most sensitive information, such as your personal attributes/interests, encrypted so it can only be accessed when your account authorizes it (which happens automatically when you are logged in and accessing our services). This allows you to get personalized service from multiple mobile handsets or computers while keeping your information protected.
